Helpful video, thanks! The rear window on my 04 Corolla just fell into the
door. Took the panel off but nothing really seemed wrong with the regulator
except that it appeared to be bent a little. Odd that it happened.

1A Auto Parts says:

You may want to remove the door panel to see if there’s anything that the
window regulator may be hitting when putting the window down. 1aauto.com

Robert Whelan says:

I have a toyota corolla 2002 T2 model 1.4 vvti three door, on my passenger
side window the switch sometimes works but when it does it stops and
starts. The switch on the driver side for operating the passenger side
window works perfect. Also when it goes half ways down it makes a loud
knock noise but only happens when the window is let down and stops, it wont
make the same noise unless it has being left alone without moving. What
could it be?

1A Auto Parts says:

It sounds as if there rubber weatherstripping is holding up the glass or
the regulator is bent some how.

1A Auto Parts says:

There could be something loose inside of the door. You may want to take the
door panel off to see if something has come loose inside of the door.

Hi there, I have a japanese domestic market corolla with the 1.5 engine.
It’s a 9th gen 2004. All power windows. When I press “up” on my driver
window, halfway there it makes a clunk sound…but funnily enough it
doesn’t stop or hesitate, just annoying. Do you know what it is ?

1A Auto Parts says:

It could be a worn or tired window motor. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

lower my window

Sharon DiGioia says:

I watched this video and was able to replace the regulator in my Matrix. I
also bought the regulator off of A-1. Not bad for an old lady. Thanks alot!

Your video helped me replace my 2002 Toyota Corolla window motor! I didn’t
even know the whole motor+arms came out like that! THANKS!

Ab Abner says:

My window stops running within a second then stops. It takes a while before
it cools off? Then it will move again for a second. Takes 15-20 minutes to
get the window back up if I lower the window even a quarter of the way
down. Could this be the window regulator? I know its not the switch I tried
replacing it and nothing changed. Any suggestions?

Kriston Deeds says:

Man, great video. wish i would have seen this before i change the motor on
the window bracket. anyway. I will b using this video to help me along.
thanks for the great video. I will let you know how it turns out.

1A Auto Parts says:

You might be able to replace them. You may be able to get them at the
dealer.

sona11111111 says:

great except how do you take the inside handle off? the video just cuts
ahead of that and the other video does not show it either.

1A Auto Parts says:

@superspazoid2319 Glad to help! If you need parts or more info please visit
our website or YouTube channel. Mike

1A Auto Parts says:

Sometimes it can be more tricky when this happens. If it’s easier to start
from the sides somewhere, maybe you could try that and work your way to the
bottom.

Mike H says:

Thank you for the tip. I ended up having to take the weatherstripping off
to loosen the bottom and pull it off from the sides. I cannot figure out
what is wrong with it though. The door will not open from either handle and
the power locks work fine. Any thoughts? Thanks!

sona11111111 says:

yes i am sorry, it was not as hard as i thought.

1A Auto Parts says:

There should be a couple of rods that attach to it that you can disconnect.

GuitarGuys7299 says:

Here is a helpful hint to keep the window bolts from falling out of your
socket and down inside of the door when re-installing them through a small
access hole. Put a small piece of masking tape over the head of the bolt to
create a snug fit in the socket. Doing that not only keeps the bolt from
falling out of the socket but it also helps to prevent cross threading as
the bolt stays straight. Also, keeping a telescoping magnet handy doesn’t
hurt either.

Muneeb M says:

The two white plastic things attached to the window are broken on my car.
do i need to buy a new window ?

1A Auto Parts says:

You may want to try to reach into the door and pull up on the latch rod
with your hand to see if it pops the door open for you.

Mike H says:

Any suggestions on how to remove the door panel if the door will not open?
I don’t know how you would get at the bottom to pry it off.

foxyred813 says:

I have a 2006 Toyota Corolla CE, the front passenger side window comes
down, but at an angle. The front part of the windows comes down before the
back end. Do I have to replace the regulator?

RIKKIBLAKK says:

Really helpful video, appreciate it, I repaired my damaged window, I just
needed to fix the plastic under the window glass that joins with a screw
the platform of the window regulator and the bottom of the window. The
tutorial of disassemble the door was what I needed, keep up the great videos
