How is the civic new 1.5 liter, is there a oil dilution problem.
Japanese Corporations look at the long term and project into decades. US Corporations look at the now. Foresight v. Nowsight. This is business school.
That's not the reason why Honda is better than Toyota… The reason why Honda is better than any other car, is that Honda is not an automobile manufacturer… Their marketing strategy rarely includes (by evidence of reliability) profit from spare parts. What really sets Honda apart, is that Honda is an engineering company… And all engineers take real pride in their work… Honda makes robots, space crafts, satellites… and cars and bikes in between… That's the real reason why Honda is so reliable, easy to tune, and has so much left in reserve in terms of power and durability…
Those things gs are built to last in space… sort of speech.

My Honda Civic CRX Si has 396k miles on the original engine. It barely burns any oil.
Civic is the MOST reliable car of the Honda fleet! Owned a 1996. It served me for 240K with just new tires, battery and oils until the cooling fan gave out and caused head gasket leak which caused overheating. It still run, but I installed a manual switch to turn on the radiator fan when the gauge showed high temp. Everything else on that thing is OEM! Best bang for my bucks!

Back around 1990 i traded a CB radio to a friend for a original Honda Civic..
It was around a 1975 model or so yellow and in great condition.
My intention was to use it as a winter car and store my sweet maroon 87 Supra turbo till Spring.
Anyways one or two drives later i told myself there is NO WAY that i am driving this frigging go-cart around.
So it sat next to my garage for a long time, one nice day while hanging out on a lounge chair i decided to see if i could blow the motor.
so i drained out all of the coolant, left the radiator cap off and started it up.
I put a brick on the gas pedal and sat there while the engine was redlining.
THREE hours later after the steam had long gone that little sucker was still screaming away….i was like WTF?
Anyways i gave up trying to blow the motor and gave the car to another friend who drove it for like 3 years.
Yea, i coulda drained the oil to see what happened but Scotty is right, Honda makes a GOOD engine.
Just bought a 2016 Honda Accord LX. As Scotty says, Hondas are zippy cars. That car is fast and gas efficient.

Toyota must have skipped a payment
I had a Hatchback Civic and it was a good car but noisy though. now I'm on my second Honda Element and this one I bought used and I'm finally getting The Kinks straightened out. I really like the element now and I'm getting a new head unit put in and a backup camera this week! but this element is really noisy though, can't even hear someone talking on the phone if I'm moving. My first element was much quieter. Why are Hondas so noisy?

I have a 2011 civic and it just hit 100k miles. I expect to get around 350k miles out of her.
Scotty, my wife's 2015 corolla s is definitely faster than my moms 2006 civic.
