FIX TACO LEAN – Toyota Tacoma 2nd and 3rd gen + bonus DIY / HOW TO swap front suspension

Fixing the dreaded Taco Lean – Toyota Tacoma 2nd and 3rd gen using a simple spacer.

Even though the TRD PRO Bilstein had an adjustment for the infamous taco lean, I still had a lean of over 1/2 an inch.

I decided to buy the Headstrong spacer because of their good quality and price. The material is aluminum so there’s zero chance of corrosion even if the powdercoat fails. link here: https://www.headstrongoffroad.com/store/p31/HS_1%2F4%22_Top_Plate_Spacer_-_TT05514-TPS.html

I had to basically take the suspension apart like doing an install to get the spacer to fit so this is as good overview too.

here’s my vlog about the install:https://youtu.be/9mdo-GnoVhY

Hi Rod.. As always, thank you for your informative "how to" and product reviews.Didn't want to infect this thread with an unrelated question, but real quick. What kind of topper/shell did you get for your truck? i've been shopping around for my 5' bed and they are all expensive. Thanks.

CR Mills says:

If I was to guess this will effect the pinion angle on the drive side and could possible cause damage to your axle.

Lrays Lrayss says:

Nice work, Rob!

Angel Rivera says:

Where did you get the spacer from?
