Today, we’re gonna take a look at the Inno Aero roof rack on our 2025 Toyota Sienna. Now, if you’ve got some questions about this roof rack after watching the video or maybe you decided to go with it and you’ve got some stories to share, go ahead and leave those in the comments below. We’d like to take those and use them to help our other neighbors make the best decisions possible. Now, if you are looking for a roof rack system to help carry all that extra cargo that you might be taking on those long road trips, generally speaking, when you have a van like the Sienna, the inside of it is loaded up with passengers, so where does all that luggage and cargo go Roof racks and hitch cargo carriers are generally your most common and best options. Hitch cargo carriers, while they might be easier to reach in and out of, they generally don’t have the same capacity that you can get out of a roof box. So having a roof rack is an excellent way to help carry all of that extra gear and equipment with you on your adventures.
You can use this with clamp-mounted accessories or you can use it with T-track accessories. The T-track is accessible right through our end cap here. There’s a rubber weather stripping that’s gonna fill this gap up. That’s gonna really help reduce road noise. And all you need to do is really push down on it and then slide your T-track accessories across and then replace your end cap whenever it’s all finished.
We do have a little bit of overhang on here as well. Now, I don’t think this is enough overhang to put your clamp mounted accessories on the outside, but it is nice because you can get your T-track accessories a bit closer to the edge for some extra accessibility. It is an Aero-style bar, which means it’s gonna have this really aerodynamic shape. So that’s gonna really help reduce the road noise. It’s also gonna cut down on wind resistance, which might give you a little bit of added fuel efficiency.
But the great thing about this too is that it comes with its own lock and key set. You don’t have to purchase it as an extra like you do with most other roof racks. It’s also an extremely easy install. So stick around. We’re gonna show that to you right now.
To begin our installation, we’re gonna take one of our bars. We already put one tower on. It’s quite simple. We’re gonna go ahead and flip it over. As we take our tower, we’re gonna have a couple of tabs on here, and these tabs are gonna fit right into these slots right here. So this small one’s gonna go in here. This one will land right in here. So we’re just gonna go ahead and put that in. And then what we’ll do is just slide this over. It’ll lock in place. And now our tower’s on. We put this one on the exact same way. Now, it’s gonna be time to go ahead and get it up on our vehicle. But before we do that, I wanna show you really quick how we got these lined up. So with our front bar on already, it’s important to note that this roof rack system does not have fixed mounting points, which means we can really set our bars anywhere we want to along these rails. However, there’s a couple of factors involved that make me want to place them more toward the front. Your access point usually is going to be in this middle row here and the rails on this vehicle are set pretty far back. So if you can imagine most rooftop accessories we’ll have will be right here. Getting in here, you might have trouble reaching toward the back of the vehicle. So I really don’t wanna move these bars back any further than they already are. So as far as how I got this lined up for like basically my placement of the first bar, I wanna make sure everything is perfectly perpendicular. So what I did here is there’s this kind of small line here in the rail and I just lined up either side of my towers passenger and driver with that line. That way I know that I’ve got this as far to the front as I can get it and it’s perfectly perpendicular with my rails. So with that being said, I wanna place my second crossbar in a way that’s gonna be very useful to this. Most crossbar spreads, you want to get between that 26 and 32 inch range between the bars. And the reason for that is ’cause that’s where most rooftop accessories are gonna land. Got these rubber loops at the bottom of our tower. We just kind of want to get that underneath there a little bit. We’re gonna do this
