welcome and thank you for the comment. I too hate critics. My video is not the best but it helps. It helps people save lots of money. Dealer will charge any amount they want. So you are better off doing it yourself. please subscribe and share. Have a nice day.

I hate critics you are a helpful hard working American thank you again for the knowledge Sir thank you.:):):):):):):)

Welcome!! yes it is. 20Nm is 14ft.-lbf. please use the torque wrench since it is your first time. a tip for you, take your time and be patient. if you rush, something will go wrong, definitely!! . have a nice day. please share and subscribe.

D. Montana says:

Thanks for the video! One question from a first timer. I noticed you use anti-seize, which I also intend use. From what I can find the 2008 4runner v6 plug torque is 20Nm. Is this the correct torque for the plugs with anti-seize? The Denso website has some warning that using a lubricant will change the torque settings (seems odd to me). I don’t trust my feel and want to use my torque wrench. Thanks!

88bmyvegas says:

welcome, though i work at a dealer service, i know they charge too much. just trying to save you guys money. knowing people like you appreciate my videos makes me happy and i will continue to make more “how to” videos. please share, subscribe and have a nice day.

Dude thank you. I think this should work on my 2011 Toyota 4 runner v6 4.0 SR5.

88bmyvegas says:

welcome anytime. yes this world is crazy. people need to care more. I have a van and drive my family everywhere, just hate it when people tail gate or drive fast. they don’t understand once you have an accident you can’t take it back. Sorry to hear you had an accident. Good for you, you fixed it. Save yourself money because everybody out there is trying to make it.

skoal22005 says:

Great thanks for the advice. What it is about the world we live in today? It’s impossible to have anything nice. There is always someone slamming into you or backing into you, or opening their door into the side of your car. It’s crazy. Nobody has any regard for other peoples property anymore. It burns me up just thinking about it. Few months back I was backed into by a 70 year old woman. Insurance companies don’t want to come off a dime. Screwed up my AC condenser too.. had to fix that myself.

88bmyvegas says:

All good. I had a ’94 Toyota pick up till someone rear ended me and messed up the frame. I really miss that truck!! I’ll put up a video of pics of the damage. Toyota has a rust penetrant but they do not sell to the public. That works wonders when removing stubborn spark plugs. When I did my truck, I use the penetrant(soak 1 hour)and my 24″ Matco 1/2″ Ratchet. I did it real slow and easy and did not destroy the threads. I don’t know any other good penetrant, maybe you can use Dupont.

skoal22005 says:

I apologize for any misunderstanding. Let me ask you this, Spark plugs on a 22re toyota pickup, If they seem like they’re going to be very hard to get out without destroying the threads, is there a good trick to try and save the threads? Other then being easy with them? other then screwing them back and forth little by little in order to try and save the threads? Any good tricks? I ask b/c one time a truck i had seemed like the threads would come out, so I didn’t change the number 1 plug. Thanks

88bmyvegas says:

well, for what you said. it is already understood as a negative connotation. dealer charges an hour to do it. the dealer I’m at charges $135 per hour. That is why I do these videos because they charge too much to the customer and pay me too little. Thanks man, it’s not easy working at the dealer. Need any answers regarding Toyota’s, just ask. Have a nice day.

skoal22005 says:

I meant good way to strip a head. Maybe there is a bit of a language barrier. What does your dealership charge for a job like that? Just to clarify from what you said about me charging someone to change their spark plugs, I don’t work on other people’s cars/trucks. There wouldn’t be enough money in it for me doing so on the side. I try to avoid nightmares whenever i can if you know what i mean LOL. On the upside, I think it’s awesome you work at a Toyota dealership. That’s all I buy is Toyota.

88bmyvegas says:

so you wrote “way to strip the head”, isn’t it the same as “you strip the head”? maybe you should have wrote, “you can strip the head doing that”.

skoal22005 says:

I never said you stripped the head man, it was clear that you didn’t. You mean to tell me you have never damaged threads by being to rough with something (taking a bolt out of something)? I sure as hell have lol. Granted this was a newer vehicle and maybe you didn’t have to worry about that. My name means “cheers” not dip. Don’t play dumb man, you know as well as I do spark plugs can pull the threads out with them at times. You know as well as I do that’s an aluminum head.

88bmyvegas says:

really?? strip the head?? in what way, just because I use an impact to remove the spark plugs? that does not strip the head, besides, when I installed new plugs I hand screwed it in then used a drill, then tighten by hand, this just to save time. you got it all wrong. I never stripped a head doing this. Don’t tell me you didn’t learn anything from this. bet you will charge someone to replace their Tacoma V6 plugs now that you watched this. Go and chew more skoal, it’s great for your gums.

skoal22005 says:

way to strip the head… hey it’s not yours right? who cares. I suppose you use an impact to tighten the oil pan bolt too lol.. I’m just thankful I’m able to work on my own Vehicles. I’ve done so for almost 15 years. I’ve saved a lot of money. I think everybody should learn to work on their own stuff… I cannot believe there are people who don’t change their own oil.

88bmyvegas says:

welcome, please share with others. i know how it feels to pay too much for a service in which you can do yourself.
have a nice day.

Thank you sir for doing this video! I don’t care what “negative comments” some fool will leave, your video was ‘absolutely” helpful. I own a ’07 Tacoma PreRunner and will be subscribing to your videos. Again, thank you.

88bmyvegas says:

Toyota genuine spark plugs don’t need to be gapped, comes pre-gapped. thanks for watching and please subscribe

88bmyvegas says:

yes they do charge alot. they can charge whatever they want and that’s the sad truth. the customer has to take it up the ying yang and the mechanic doesn’t make much too. thank you for watching, please subscribe

big help. thank you

88bmyvegas says:

good, don’t watch. damn critic. if you didn’t learn anything from the vide then obviously your glass is always empty. I’ve finished tech school and years of experience, and I know how much to tighten plugs. it’s not like I’m doing internal engine bearings. Definitetly I’m not LAZY, just efficient with today tools. TIME IS MONEY!! Until you do your video your way, people will still watch this DIY. Where is your video? easily said than done. I will be waiting for it.

88bmyvegas says:

sorry been so busy with my new born. no plug wires needed.

RPHEON says:

Stopped watching after this “mechanic” (and he works in a stealership by the look of the uniform) didn’t torque the plugs properly. How lazy does one have to be to use a power tooll a plug change? This where Toyota falls down and why I won’t have service done at the dealer.
