I've seen way too many people buy shagged out cars that needed major work within weeks
Toyota engines are great but I think the 22r engine is their worst.

Have always wondered whether it was worth changing your engine vs head gasket cost wise since the day my parents burned up their first GM car engine and they still bought a GM car and are still having issue after issue because they "don't like the way foreign cars are made" bwahaha some people will never learn.
I just realized how much Scotty reminds me of the late Dennis Hopper.
If this happened on a ford.. Scotty would be saying over and over what a piece of junk.. i guess everyone has a favorite baby (brand)

At least they admitted they had a problem. GM/FORD wouldn’t admit nothing and it would fail at 36500 miles just out of warranty
Meanwhile my 2011 Toyota Corolla still purring like a kitten at 170k miles with the original engine

Scotty you are thinking of the older original V6 from Toyota that had head gasket issues a lot. That is the 3.0 terrible engine, this is the 3.4 and they are great engines. Not to say that this particular one doesn’t have head gasket issues
