Angel Calderon says:

Toyota is gonna be selling a lot more trucks now

Angel Calderon says:

I’m glad their going to hybrid

Matthew Lewis says:

Never buy anything with a supercharger or turbo unless you have the money to fix it. My dad taught me, the harder you work an enging the shorter the lifespan.

Joel Atkinson says:

Once again Scotty you are 100% correct!!! Toyota is making a huge mistake by getting rid of their V8 motors. I have a 2002 Tundra with the 4.7L V8 and it runs as good today as it did when I bought it new in Oct of 2001. I'll own this truck for at least 30 years. That's why I bought a Toyota in the first place. LONGEVITY!!!

Kevin Camilleri says:

Hey Scotty! Leave my girlfriend out if this!

HT Punisher says:

Agree with Scottie, Toyota dropped the ball.

Saso says:

07 tundra 214k miles and I’m going to own it till it gives up.

Kevin Camilleri says:

Big mistake with the v6 even though it’s a Toyota v6.

julio valdez says:

Im not sure it was a choice. I believe e.p.a. forced all auto manufacturers to put the axe to v8s. I know i saw a chart somewhere about emissions requirements some time ago. Thats why they had to install that 8 to 4 cylinder shut off, just to be able to sell them. Its also the same reason CAT quit making truck engines. They couldn't keep up with e.p.a. requirements.

MC C says:

Toyota is desperate to meet ridiculous CAFE standards. Scotty is right. It is a huge mistake for a paltry 1-2 miles per gallon. They should have kept the V8.

gip1279 says:

We'll see. I'm sure Toyota knows what they're doing.

Arminius says:

The front grille of the new Tundra looks ridonculous! I like my 2012 Tundra better by the minute. Completely agree, Toyota made big mistake by eliminating the V8!

Nou Long Moua says:

It not toyota fault. It the EPA and all these new regulations getting tighter and tighter. Auto manufacturers have to meet these standards. Turbos engines of today are not the turbos engines of 20yrs ago when Scottie was a young mechanics. Get with the time or left behind. Yea people want 1mil miles out of their trucks but with the trends of the auto market in todays world people trade in their cars/trucks every 3-5yrs. Who the hell cares. New tundra look nice to me.
