Its unfortunate that you guys in the US cant get Toyotas that are actually built in Japan due to the Japanese having an amazing work ethic, sadly missing in most western countries.
That's like a 12 year old Toyota Prius. They are far more reliable than even a standard Toyota
Make sure to change the battery air filter to keep the batteries good. Enough said.

The Honda Insight was much better built than the Prius. Even if the hybrid system dies in the Honda Insight, it still has a alternator and a standard lead acid battery to keep you driving.

19 years? You're dreaming. 9 years at most.
Head gasket is like $80 for the thicker aftermarket one which you want (not OEM) took me like a day and a half. Really really easy! Don’t waste money paying someone for labor, DO IT YOURSELF! Learn to be self-reliant.
