How to Replace Your Car Key Battery | Subaru

Video on replacing car key battery for a Subaru Crosstrek / Impreza. The process is the same for most Japanese car brands. The difference is often a different battery, such as for keyless start.

I recommend you get a small screwdriver, but everyday household items may work. I used the screwdriver on my swiss army knife for example. Please don’t use a knife or a sharp object.

does the key fob needs re decoding or there is some possibility of erasing code and cost of losing posibility of locking or unlocking car after a battery charge?
