How many hours to replace all four struts?
Good video dude, thanks
Just subbed. Excellent vid and summary. Any chance you can post tools needed/used and estimated time to complete? Looking on parts geek I see strut assembly and wonder if that includes mounts or should I buy separate. What’s normal miles a set of struts should get, general range I mean? I’m at 95k OG set
It's looked old and sad at the start and now it looks tall and proud
How do you suggest putting the brake line through the mount on the new strut? I cut out the old mount to get the line off. Should I disconnect it from the caliper or where the hose joins together in the bracket?
If they used the 03/04 Struts on the rear of this model, it's actually a notable improvement. Those struts were sprung for an extra 200-300lbs in the rear. It's a slightly harsher ride, but feels much better in cornering. They are a bit "shorter" while not under load, but once loaded they will be extremely similar in ride height. You left out the hardest part of this process, which is cracking that rear strut mount nut loose, mine are baking in a penetrant bath now, maybe I'll try again tomorrow… Haha.
How has it been ridding so far with the FCS quick struts? I am looking to perform the same service for my 2005 Subaru Outback.
Thanks… Monroe it will be. I’ll try RockAuto
Thanks, but I can’t find strut/spring assemblies ie: Monroe, Kyb etc. that can go into my 2010 Impreza. I would like premium o.e. stuff. Can you give some suggestions
Hi, can someone help if they know whether or not a “ quick strut” type assembly exists for a 2010 Impreza outback sport hatchback? And recommend a brand. Thanks
What year was that Outback?
Legit the best video ive watched. Thank you
