Great video. My car won't start once in a while after fill up. It will start only when I pump gas pedal. But then drives and starts fine. I also have a gas smell in my salon at times. Could this be same problem or smtg else. Any advise guys.

Nice video and really helpful! Used it on my 2001 Forester. Checked with my mechanic and told me releasing pressure was not necessary but a good safety practice. Thank you so much for the video

Paul_728 says:

In my car whenever I try to put gas in it it will just refuse it so I have to pump very slow, if I do change my filler neck will it fix my problem

Charles Bishop says:

Pull the fuse for the fuel pump. It can be done faster with less effort than taking out the interior trim .

Stephen Hunt says:

Thank you, very useful video! One question: By "white grease", what specifically do you mean? Like Lithium grease or….?

AeroPR says:

Nice vid! I would just suggest people to replace the valve at 15:48 with a new one. It becomes a source of evap leaks and after doing all this work it would suck to have to disassemble everything again to replace it.
