Super! Step by step…

Tictacpanter says:

17:38 should really just mark the nuts before telling folks to take it off. Easy edit to move that part of the video to this point.

My 2010 Outback came out of NY and everything is rusted in place. The brake dust shields were have rusted away. Nothing on that car is coming out anywhere close to that easy. I can't beat the front axle out with a 10 pound sledge hammer and the bearings sure as hell aren't coming out even with a 10lb slide hammer bolted to the studs

Ben box says:

It's way easier to take the bottom ball joint out if needed. Then no alignment

Donald Trump says:

Wait why did you push the pistons in. I'm 99.99 percent sure you definitely dont need to waste brake fluid and special tools to take the brakes off bud

Rob van Halen says:

Thanks for this video. Your detailed description made the job much easier. I did a bearing before by trying to wing it and spent a lot of hours on it, frustrating. I do have some comments though: Like many others, I don't have a lift. I only jacked up one side of the car. That way you can skip the crowbar trick since your wheel is not going to spin with the other front tire on the ground. Marking the alignment pin with chalk didn't work for me. After some fumbling with the pin, the markings disappeared on me. Permanent marker seems like a better idea. I also never bleed the brakes after a job like that. And: once everything is back together, also make sure to pump the brakes AFTER starting the engine while still in park to make sure your caliper pistons grab onto your brake pads. I did it with the engine off and the pedal sunk to the ground as soon as I started up. Scary moment when you back out of your garage without brakes…

Jesse James says:

Why not remove the whole spindle

Toby Hearsey says:

I'm doing this right now. It's a blast lol

Observer Cerebusfire17 says:

i came here to see how a bearing is changed. i already know how to lubricate my brake parts, and im not sure why that part is in there. very informative video and i hope it will be helpful even tho my car is 2001.

Dean Cole says:

I have a question on the final removal of the bearing. I have seen a lot of similar videos where they take a small sledge and beat on the bearing to get it loose. It has worked in each video. However I hit mine about 5 times and the bearing came apart. So now I have one part of the bearing laying on the ground with the back part of the hub still stuck to the wheel. My question is why do I suck at working on cars and how do I get the other part of the bearing out of the knuckle??

At 10:12 what is the make/model/weight of that Big Red Beautiful hammer?? Thank you.

Hi. I'm new to the whole working on my own car. I'm only 22 have a Subaru impreza. My dad used to always work on my car and he passed in March, would this video work on my 08 Subaru impreza?

Jonathan Gantt says:

I’m at the axle nut and it’s bent to lock it in place and I can’t seem to bend out the little tab to unlock it. Suggestions? I’m working on a 2013 Outback 2.5L

Jermos says:

Thank you for the video

smkinrade says:

Thanks for the video, love how easy these cars are to work on.

Victor Manuel Esperanza romero says:

I would use an old video to attach another extra to save the process very well, brother ok, … do not forget to indicate to the clients that I am careful with the mechanic workshops and many chat

Deagles says:

It's scary that this is exactly what I needed, since one broke yesterday. Then I check YouTube and bam it's here.

Michael Bolger says:

I've been working on cars for years, and I never had to open up the bleeder to replace a wheel bearing or replace pads or rotors

Jesus Moya says:
