What is this you ask?
The car leaks gas when filling up. It has been doing this SINCE IT WAS NEW! Subaru calls this ‘normal’ that the tank does not shut off and overflows. SO, after the dealership had the car for a week and said “Everything performs as expected”. I went to put gas in the car… and guess what- it poured out everywhere! Likely a gas tank issue among other problems…

Makes you wonder why Subaru mechanics will not go for a ride with the consumer?
Why won’t any Subaru mechanic come for a ride in the car? Is it because it’s a death trap?

After literally 15+ visits to Subaru dealerships across the country (yes literally across the USA), and being stranded across the country with no way home.

I finally realized that no dealership actually tells the truth with Subaru. Actually, nor does the manufacturer. Falsification of business records and forging documents is literally part of their protocol. They may fix something on your car and write “No trouble found” so they can escape liability and help the Subaru manufacturer stay free of recourse (this was confirmed to me by multiple dealerships). Also, Subaru will ignore you if they do not want to help you. (Ask me how I know after being ignored for 4 months from Subaru of America and its affiliates while our car has been broken and we are stranded).

So, I want to post SOME of my experiences for all. Perhaps you too have some of these issues or similar. And, you should know the company is absolutely terrible to work with and will not fix your car once they get your money and you drive off the lot.

Hope this inspires others to share their experiences.
We have noticed 2022 Subaru Outback , 2023 Subaru Outback, 2024 Subaru Outback and the 2025 all have similar TSB ( trouble service bulletins ) and recalls that go largely unanswered. It has affects on all models of Wilderness , XT , Touring XT , and more.
