[Vlog] DIY Front Mount Intercooler Water Spray install Subaru WRX STi

Summer’s coming up in few months, so I had to prepare for the hot temperature.
Because my intercooler is a front mount, I can’t use the stock STi water spray to cool it down.
This is how I installed the water spray on my Subaru WRX STi!

Hope this video helps those who are thinking of doing this mod!;)

Thanks Ikepon for helping out!

Eric B. says:

Hmmm… I wonder if I could just buy say, an AEM water injection kit and RE-PURPOSE it as an intercooler sprayer for my 2019 MAZDA CX 5 2.5 L. turbo?

IJustAccidentallyThe says:

Hey, it's probably dripping because it's siphoning out of the tank. Pump and tank are much higher than the nozzle, making it come out with gravity. This is a common problem with water methanol systems, which ends up being pretty bad if you end up with a gallon of meth in your intercooler while your car is parked!

Mounting the pump at the same height as the nozzle, or adding a check valve/switchable solenoid in line with the pump would sort it.

Tommy Trinh says:

I had the same idea too! Water-cooled intercooler that is stored in the trunk. Love the video!

Frostback says:

check valve

Shanaka Ridley-Koduo says:

I wanted to add that setup to my car this was very helpful

Mattias Andersson says:

Cut the fucking bumper instead. You could have bought a smaller IC when only half of it is exposed anyway.

The Black says:

Water spray will corrode your sub frame. Seen it happen. You won't see it… but it will fuck it up

Stay On The Gas says:

Awesome project!!
I'm doing 2 GC8 builds on my channel, check it out!
