Using Split Flanges to Repair the Tailpipe on a 2006 Saturn Vue

Using two Nickson #177 2″ split flanges to repair the tailpipe on a 2006 Saturn Vue. The original join seems to fail pretty much universally on this model, and the most common fix it to have it cut out and a piece of pipe welded on to reconnect the two sections. This is a repair you can do yourself even if, like me, you don’t have a welder.

I have the exact same problem on my 2002 Saturn Vue. Of course it would take more than a simple clamp! This is probably something I could do myself, but I'll have a friend help me.
