Thank you so much!!! Just saved me $220+ at a shop.
I found that there were 2 preset holes that lined up perfectly with the new motor mount, so I just used 2 of the screws I removed from taking out my glove box and it worked like a charm.
Appreciate your video so much!!

Thomas Haddad Jr says:

What size bolts. My new motor didn't come with any

Fender Bender says:

Thanks for the video appreciated!!

Thomas Severson says:

Great write up and only thing i would add is my old motor didnt seperate easily. I had to work it out with a hammer and also with a screwdriver.

Adam B says:

Rich, if I removed the cabin or filter on my 05 Ion, would I be able to lube the blower motor from the top?

Ian Mather says:

Is removing the glove box just a matter of removing the screws that I can see or is there more to it?

Edmund Parker says:

new motor come with bolts

Edmund Parker says:

does new blower motor come with mounting bracket and bolts

arthunter888 says:

Great video, but it doesn't show how to REPLACE A NEW MOTER after removal. My blower motor is making an electrical "whirring" noise that is really annoying, especially noticeable on fan speeds 1 & 2. Can someone link me to a video for PUTTING IN A NEW ONE?

sha says:

Hi Rich
Does removing the blower motor give access to the Blend Door actuator box for removal? My actuator is clicking and giving me grief. Hoping to avoid taking off glove box to get to it. ???

Ben Holladay says:

Another excellent video! Just replaced motor/fan unit in my daughter's 2004 Saturn Ion Coupe. Saved $$$ and have satisfaction that it was done correctly. THANK YOU!

Hello Richpin06. Thank You for your wonderful videos. I greatly appreciate them. Can you make one, or do you have one for a 2006 Saturn Ion? My blend door actuator is making an annoying clicking sound, and I have no idea how to get to it, let alone swap it out! Please Help! Thank You.

cosmojuicer says:

I had to do this and it was a pain only because of its location. Heating the razor blade may help with the slicing(maybe?). And for GD sakes, why couldn't it come new bolted on instead of having to cut it out. Oh well.

jake ounce says:

No wonder they are out of business!!!

kodi brooks says:

hey so I have a 2002 saturn. 3 door sc1. 1.9L it was broken into the other day and ive put it back together with the newer parts and it has the security light on the dash so it won't start any ideas for a remidy? ?

Recovering New Yorker says:

Uhh , tell me again , why did G.M. need a(nother) bailout?

Chris Freemesser says:

What an awful design. Saturn really started phoning it in after the S-series!

zx8401ztv says:

Goo, thats a crude design isnt it.
What about putting some silicone sealant on both surfaces and pushing it back into place, two bits of gaffa tape would keep it there while it was setting, perhaps.
Ooow you two timer, fancy useing a screwdriver instead of the panel tool 😀

ICU2 says:

Crappy design…………………

Alex0695 says:

+richpin06a thanks so much for doing this video. I wanted to replace mine or clean it out because it chirps like nobody's business but after seeing your video of what you have to do to do so I think I'll wait until mine quits
