Installing the Sprint Booster V3 in my Saturn Sky

Installing the Sprint Booster V3 in my Saturn Sky

In this video I install the Sprint Booster V3 in my base model 2.4L Saturn Sky.

The Sprint Booster is a plug and play upgrade that increases throttle response to your Drive By Wire throttle body. But does it actually work? You’ll find out by watching this video.

Installed one on my C7 Vette and changed the car to something I really enjoy driving. Wonderful product.

Jason Campbell says:

I purchased one but I can't get the throttle sensor out. I can get the pink tab out but I can't get the actual cable out of the sensor. No matter how much force I give it. I also tried just pushing the pink tab with it on the sensor cable but no luck either. I did this to a Nissan 370z without too much issues but this one is surely special. Any advice? It is also in an awkward spot compared to the 370z. The plastic black tab that gets unlocked after pulling out safety pink part was jammed. All is well now.

Lester Randolph says:

Are you supposed to change mold while your foot is on accelerator won't that cause lights to come on on your dashand a safety tip keep your eyes on the road you constantly looking down and looking up that's not safe stop the car first then change it

BrentDaily1 says:

Did you have any throttle hang, did the sprint booster eliminate any of the rev hang

Ivo Ivan says:

installed it on BMW E90 330xi 2006 – big difference. recommended.

Put one on my 2005 Crossfire Limited coupe. I tried all settings, left it on race 9 unhooked controller and I have a new vehicle. It made a very big positive change doesn't even seem like the same car.

Thank you for reviewing the Sprint Booster. I was thinking about it but wasn't sure yet.

Roy Scheffler says:

Is your link to the booster still valid? Amazon states that it is compatible with 2002 – 2018 Mini Coopers.

Rod Munch says:

This is really interesting. Reading the negative reviews people say that while right off the bat everything feels more responsive, in reality your brain quickly adjusts to the new peddle depth and the effect wares off. After having it for a while now what do you think? I'm really considering getting this as my '07 seems kinda sluggish, and this seems like it could be a nice upgrade to make it feel more sporty.

LJ says:

Alright I'm sold I ordered one. They should sponsor you it was a good sales pitch.

Dan Sherwood says:

I've got one to install tomorrow so thanks for the tutorial.
I'm always bothered by those folks who bash a product without even giving it a shot, especially those who don't even understand the principle behind it.

Garage needs a little spring clean, no?

Lance Bedwell says:

Hey Mike. Great video. Holy crap! Your garage looks like mine….two days after I clean it up! LOL! I'm in Canada so not sure how available this product is here. I'll research it. I wonder if it would be as effective on an automatic transmission? I get my Magana Flow exhaust installed next week…..might have been able to do it myself but chose not to. I did buy new GM dual exhaust valance and just put it in which is suppose to be genuine. I ,may remove it and try again though. I started on the right and moved along but by the end my tabs and plug hole barely lined up. Have a great day and keep them coming. Very informative and they really help Mike. Lance

Edward Russo says:

Mike, another great video! Will this thing work on a Sky Redline Turbo? Is it even necessary for a Turbo engine? Thanks.

Wolf_22 says:

Out of curiosity, have you done this with "Competition Mode" turned on? Might be fun! Ha. Also, what specifically does this thing do to the car? I'm asking because products like this often get made by aftermarket suppliers that take shortcuts or apply configurations that production engineers might frown on and for good reasons (i.e. – depending on what it does, it could result in harming your engine). Regardless, thanks for the video, Mike. Keep an eye on that thing!

Luis Robles says:

You can get a ECU TUNE for that much, and you actually get more TQ and HP.

Dale Schwenning says:

Great review, Mike. The stereo upgrade in our Sol may have been pushed into second now…

keith lunsey says:

Nice video Mike you could actually see the difference in how soon or hard the acceleration hit.

StarFyter1 says:

Awesome Video Mike. Great idea but I currently have bigger fish to fry. Currently have a issue with the coolant level sensor. I know it's full, I keep topping it off but the light still comes on so it's probably just a sensor in the tank. Even bigger problem is a P-0606 code that started out intermittent but is now on all the time. Accompanied a few times now with a "limp mode" condition that goes away with a shutdown and restart. This is all on a 07 Solstice BTW 🙂

Tom Fisher says:

Thanks Mike i have a base 2006 solstice 28.000 miles its slow and gas mileage is not great going to try it love it though .
Thank you as always

buggy's tow jam says:

My solstice i can't figure what the hell is going on with it. It's 2.4L non turbo 5 speed under 100k miles. All 4 tires 29 psi, but as i accelerate it feels like the car is shifting left to right as i accelerate. Just imagine the rear being able to pivot front to back on each wheel. But there's no free play in the rear end. I can't force it to move when i have it lifted on jack stands. But each time i drive and do a hard acceleration it just feels like us porpoising left to right. Now cruise control on 65mph it goes down the road straight as an arrow. Higher speeds it feels like the car is going to literally shake itself apart. I'm talking anything higher then 72mph it just starts feeling all kind of dangerous. The car has never been in a wreck the tires are few thousand miles old kuhmo brand. I just don't understand what's going on with it. I've asked on some forums and other then tire pressure no one has a clue what could be going on. And i really hate the couple holders and window switches. I feel like i have to contort my arm into a t rex arm to grab my drink or put the window up or down. I love the looks of the car but just wish i could figure out the issues. And just keep dealing with the t Rex arms. Hopefully arthritis doesn't set in and make my arms stay like that forever. That would suck.
