I know you said "don't ax" but could that be the starter solenoid? Is starting you car dangerous?? Should you be making videos encouraging people to short those contacts out???
I had this problem with one of my cars and then a guy in the parking lot of walmart showed me this. I had to start it like this every time for months. Then one day it just turned on normally and i never had to do it again for the rest of the time i had the car lol.
only fords have it like that. the starter is good. bad starter solenoid. i like your honesty though when you said i dont know what its called so dont ask lol
