The engine air filter in a 2008 Saturn Vue cleans the air that enters your engine. Change the filter on your Vue at least once a year or every 15 to 20,000 miles, whichever comes first. If you drive in dusty or sandy conditions, you should change your filter more often. A dirty air filter will cause your Vue to lose 1 – 3 mpg, depending how you drive, you can save 70 – 100 gallons of gas per year by simply changing your filter as needed. Very good video. Wow it looks dusty in there. I paid $20+ for my Vue paper filter. I am thinking of going back to a KN filter on my Colorado. I know about the over oiling/mass airflow sensor issue. I am just thinking the car manufacturer recommends the paper brand filter to lower their costs by having a contract with the filter maker who makes $$$ selling more based on the recommendation as a result. ???
