How much coolant did you lose when removing the housing? I started this last weekend and called it off because it looked like the entire reservoir would drain out (as you noted). Didn't look like there was enough room, with all the other wires & hoses around it, to lift it high enough to prevent the entire reservoir from draining.

THERE WAS ABSOLUTLEY NO REASON TO HAVE TO BREAK THAT CUPPLING TO THAT VACCUM HOSE. A SMALL FLATHEAD SCREWDRIVER WOULD HAVE DONE THE TASK.
