Alex Williams says:

I applied silicone, mated the cases..and then saw the plastic washer for the primary variator on the table.. had to take it apart again. I left the fresh silicone and put another bead and put it back together. I hope it doesn't cause a leak or excess to clog something inside. It'd be tragic to have to remove the transmission again and fix a bad gasket job

Alex Williams says:

Jonathan Tenorio says:

I could support with my vue, disarm the transmission, change everything,
The problem was the chain and I change it but now if it runs forwards and backwards but in a single change does not change speed. Any comments please contact me at my email fidel.34@hotmail.com or whatsap +528116849300 thanks for your support

Thanks for great info on transmission. Recently purchased used 2004 Saturn VUE 2.2L FWD with 88K and drives great but unaware of transmission issues. Previous owner provided maintenance records and transmission replaced at 46K. CV Axles replaced (at a tire shop) at 86K with two quarts of transmission fluid added (no additive replacement). Your videos don’t address fluid flush/replacement and whether or not more frequent fluid replacement might reduce transmission failures.  Should I have the transmission fluid replaced at GM dealership with additive? What is the purpose of the additive that’s listed in the Owner’s Manual? Thank you for your help.
