When I purchased my 1995 SC2, both door trim magazine/map holder slots were cracked and broken. It appears the previous owner was attempting to replace the stock speaker without removing the trim panel assembly. I tried this repair on both side of my car, and this may work on your SL/SW front door trim panels, as well.
