Treat the refrigerant in your ac system like your engine oil. If low, don't just top it off. Most likely you have a leak, inspect all connections and ac compressor for any dirt or oil build up. Repair the leak and run vaccum test to confirm leak has been repaired. Then charge system. Honestly these recharge cans shouldn't be sold to the public. Refrigerant is toxic to people and environment. On the can it states that it shouldn't be released into the air, it should be retracted and stored in a dedicated tank. Yet people daily are purchasing these DIY cans and filling their systems, only for it to leak out in to the atmosphere….. I hope people who read this comment agree with me and if not, do your research on R134a.
Did you check the cabin air filter for clogging ??? Most of the time a restricted flow from this item will make it seem that you need to charge the AC. Hope this helps you out.
Good bit of knowledge to know. We usually try to do our own before taking it to a shop…great money saver! Thanks for showing doing this, showing that even if it is someones first time, that they can be successful and save some cash!
Well that was awesome man very informative this will help a lot when I charge the AC in my wife's 2007 Saturn Vue. You're on hell of an AC tech are you sure your not ASE certified…..lol
Hi have done this to a couple of vehicles over the years and as long as you don't have a leak in the system it usually takes care of your problem. Thank sharing brother.
It would have been nice to check if you needed to charge it before making the video. So we could see all the steps. Also, the reading, wow.
Replace filter….its freezing up after about 20 mins
What a waste of video.. smh
