Very cheap way to change the appearance of your Saab 9-3 1999 to 2002 or NG900 1994 to 1998. Look for my other Video on Headlight removal, cleaning and repair..

Great Video, but I found I had to put the plastic part over the mesh when done so you have a way to attach the grill. Great though and I have great pictures on Saab Forum, Saab Owners of North America on Facebook. Take care and again thanks.
you forgot the most important thing, how to put it together! im struggling so much to put everyhting togethr man.
you must go to doctor with your breathing problem
i personally also hate the reflectors… think they are very ugly
After you get the screen mesh installed in the chrome part of the grill on the back, do you put the plastic piece that was in it originally over the mesh or do you just simply keep it off after the mesh is installed? I didn’t see that you put the plastic part with the 12 clips back on it after the mesh was inserted and fitted. Just curious. Thanks for your video. SIncerely, Lonnie.
This was an awesome video/idea. I would’ve never thought of it but it makes a great difference. Thanks for posting!
I found some in steel for $3, but it is 6″ x 36″ is that big enough. I can find the aluminum version I am sure, but how high does it need to be? Is 6″ high enough? Thanks.
Just done my 9-3 Convertible with black mesh, looks good ! Thanks for the tips .
Would you mind coming over and show me how to do my Saab 9-3. It is black. Thanks. I will make coffee. Cheers.
Yes. Using his technique, you can do whatever else you need.
Would probably be easy to paint or plasidip, right?
Hi Nice video, thanx, ,BTW Rona sell the same gutter guard mess with a black coating in single sheets for 5 buck (cool look for my black 9-3)
I don’t have a Saab buy, is it illegal to have this mesh over the head lights? thinking of doing this on my truck but all the way around.
I like it, but I would prefer to have the mesh be black instead of chrome to offset the classic grille design of the Saab.
Very cool and cheap way to customize a grill. I plan on doing this to my Saab this weekend. Thanks!
looks very simple to me.. I’ll try this next thing in the morning
looks good on my 99 900s
Nice…
are they both convertibles the red and black saabs
what a bunch of haters!! Very cool fun inexpensive modification. Thanks for the video
Any pictures of it?
I don’t really like the grill insert as it looks kinda of cheap, but i do like the yellow delete on the side indicators.
Very spur of the moment idea to make this video after I was out working all day etc. But I really appreciate the free medical advise and can I just say it is very charitable of you after spending eight years in medical School to take the time to look for random medical conditions with online postings and with an awesome urban feel using the term “Man” making you more like any other Dude rather than a qualified Doctor of medicine!
Thanks for letting me know that you are not going to do this to your car. well worth your time I think.
I am not selling anything here .
It’s cheap, and it’s look very cheap… Never in my 900…
You should visit a doctor and have respiration-checkup ,man. very short-breath
Good idea! I have 2 Saabs and I blacked out everything on one of them, I actually painted the “grill mesh” black with engine enamel and then put a clear coat over it. Paid less than 15 dollars for everything
what does the back of the grille look like finished?
Just to let you know I don’t give a fuck what you understand or don’t 😉
just so you know .. i didnt understand a word you said
you crazy
Done this on my 03 9-3, much harder to get to but got it done and it looks great.
How is this grill / net thingy called ??
Original is better looking, put it back!
Ha…. well you have to buy the 10 pack of gutter mesh to make it $1.40. Anyway its cheaper than $225 for the one available online. 🙂
it took longer to go to the Home Depot than it did to install but mine cost $2.29
hey 3 hours later and i just did it . looks great
you attach it like it is … look at 11:15 and paws is .. you can see that he has the aluminum infront of the plastic. Nice work man im going to do this to my 9-3
I second that, how do you attach it?
how do you attach it
Is this much different on the facelifted (2002-2005) 9-5? I’d love to do it on my ’03!
cool vid off now to buy some mesh..
Awesome video!! you should post this on the saabcentral forums!!
good job… gonna do this at my 99 viggen, thanks for video
