Quickly Replacing Parking Sensors on a Saab 9-5 (DIY) – Trionic Seven

We replace a parking sensor on a 2009 Saab 9-5 2.3t Biopower Griffin. This fixes the “Park Assist Failure” message in the SID. These instructions apply to all 2006-2010 Saab 9-5 models. No need to remove the bumper!

Welcome back!

Oddly enough, I had the same parking sensor fail on my 2000 9-5 Aero HOT estate a couple of months ago, which I successfully replaced with a pattern part from eBay. I'm glad that I have a Tech 2 of my own, which made diagnosing the failed sensor an easy job. I'm also glad that the Haynes workshop manual for the 9-5 shows you how to remove and refit the sensors fitted to the earlier cars.
