Hello friends! In today’s video, I will tell you how to improve your credit score quickly. I once had a very low credit score, but now it has reached 846 points out of a possible 850. I will share my experience with you and show you the steps that will help you achieve the same result.
Factors affecting your credit score
Timely payment of bills (35%)
The most important factor is paying bills on time. Right now, I don’t have any late payments, although it wasn’t always that way. But I learned my lesson and now pay on time. If you have delinquencies, start getting better at this very thing.
Credit utilization (30%)
I only utilize 1% of my available credit. For example, my total revolving credit debt is $900, which is extremely low. This has a positive impact on my score.
Credit History (15%)
The average age of my accounts is 7 years. The oldest account was opened 19 years ago. This is important, so if you are young, open a credit card and keep it active.
Hard inquiries (10%)
Requests for new credit also affect your score. I have a little more of these than I’d like, as I recently opened two new cards because of bonuses – one gave miles and the other gave 5% cashback. These requests have temporarily lowered my rating.
Credit Diversity (10%)
I have eight revolving accounts and seven installment loans. I have no auto debt, but I do have investment loans. This balance helps keep my score high.
