FAQ

How Much Does it Weigh?

1) In an early car with no AC, you will be removing the existing fresh air blower which weighs around 4kg whereas our new one weighs 6kg. In other words, you are only adding 11kg to the car weight.

2) On a non AC ‘impact bumper’ car (’74 onwards) the washer bottle when full weighs 9kg ( 20lbs) and the system removes that. If you then added back a small bottle -say 5kg- then the total weight added to the car by the AC install would only be 8kg (18 lbs)

3) On a car with factory AC, replacing it with this system SAVES 15kg ( 33lbs ). Yes, really 33lbs lighter!

In all cases, weight is moved to the front, where you want it!

A factory Porsche AC weight around 55 lbs. Aftermarket kits with additional condensers add more weight.

How Much Does it Cost?

Right now the retail price of £2995 comes out at $4050. I think they pricing it at $3995 unless the exchange rate starts to move too much.

The Angry Mushroom Emporium says:

very cool Michael. Love the logo and show intro. I like how you don't know what stuff does yet but will figure it out. Back to the shop. Good luck!

John Dennis says:

Nicely done brosef! Subb'd.

The Thrifty Sailor says:

Love the intro Michael! Nice job on the launch.

Ellory Wells says:

Congrats on your launch!

William Knight says:

William Knight #97, Michael, I would loose the driver battery box, also you have plenty of Amps however I would run a LARGE deep cycle. It is kinda like having a tank on an air compressor when you run electric air. It being advertised less than 1 HP sounds great but 746 watts = 1Hp @ 100 % efficiency there fore 1Hp could easily dray 62 amps, I would go H4 LED bulbs on lighting and tour good to go with the large battery you won't go through alternators. Love your car keep up the videos.

Andy Bullen says:

I was just talking about these today, great timing – looking forward to the install. Congratulations on launching your channel!

Brent Musclecarczar says:

I look forward to watching the install and how this kit works out. Whats the retail cost and what Charles said below, the weight of the kit?

Royboy Productions says:

I’ll be interested to see how the electric compressor works for you. I’ve had a hot rod builder buddy try one and he did not like the output. Keep in mind it’s 100° and humid KS here and the company that made that kit is from Canada so the needs are a bit different.

Charles Gillespie says:

Looks cool (pun intended)! What’s the actual weight of this stuff?

Jj Collier says:

This is cool. Excited to see the install.

MrCknaak says:

Looking forward to seeing your install. I have the kit on the shelf waiting to install on my 70 911 3.3 Turbo hot rod.
