Porsche 996TT Front lip replacement ; Porsche 996 Wheel Well replacement ; Porsche 996 turbo Fender Liner Replacement ; Porsche 996 Turbo front chin splitter replacement

Hi Everyone!
Today I get to a project that Heidi has been waiting on for a while 😉 Her 996 Turbo is badly in need of a new front air dam/splitter and front right wheel well liner. Not very difficult at all and makes a huge difference in the look of the front end! I hope you enjoy the video 🙂

Rob Frost says:

While you're in there it's helpful to replace that top radiator hose, if it's not already new. Its aluminium end fitting usually corrodes around now and starts to develop a leak. Pricey, though, at about a hundred dollars.

N911GT2 says:

That’s why I always buy OEM. And they aren’t that expensive.

Penultimate_P says:

YES – a 996 Turbo video!!! 😀

H Kr says:

Almost makes me think this part was made for another type and they though "nahhh it's close enough for the 996, let's sell it as a 996 part as well".

John Ringhisen says:

Heat gun FTW for sure. I'd have broken something trying to pry it into place. Do you find that a lot of non-Porsche parts require a little more work like having to drill holes, stretching this into place, etc.?

James Tharp says:

Great video again. Loved snapodoodle. Can’t wait to see you work on Miss Eva.

Raymond Rizzuto says:

Can you list what that combination jack and jack stand is?

Joannes Hellings says:

Well done Heidi! Looks like nothing ever happened. Nice job. Looking forward to the next video's. Cheers and happy holidays ; D

Curt Austin says:

Nice work. I wonder if — before you expose the splitter to the cold — you should heat-gun the whole thing on the chance you can relieve the high residual tensile stresses from assembly. Could be the right time to do this job is in Summer!

Freerk de Ruiter says:

Great job, Franny. That lip was a little bit harder than I expected, probably because it's not an original Porsche part. The heat gun was a great tip. Tight fit, but that's best I reckon 🙂

Richard Porter says:

Snapadoole added to quick like a bunny. So much fun to watch.

Michael Schneider says:

+1. Way-To-Go Franny & Heidi … Supportive DIY's. Cheers, Vail, CO
