I was able to pop off the sides and you don’t need to take off the philips screw and key ring and don’t need to take off the chrome part too? The sides just pop off with a small flat head…

Interesting. I ordered a replacement shell from Suncoast Porsche and I did not get a chrome piece. I don’t know if that’s normal included.
