Porsche Cayenne: How To Replace The Air Oil Separator Diaphragm

In this how to, I preemptively replace the air oil separator (AOS) diaphragm in my Porsche Cayenne. If your car is showing symptoms of a bad AOS, more than likely the diaphragm is torn. Porsche would rather sell you a whole valve cover with AOS for over $600 instead of just the diaphragm. Thankfully, there are a few vendors who offer a replacement diaphragm, so you don’t have to needlessly replace the whole valve cover!

Great video again. How many miles did you put on your CTT now? It is amazing how you maintain the car, it looks still in perfect condition.

I just replaced my AOS on 2008 V6. I bought the whole part for Audi Q7. This thing is hidden under the valve cover, have to remove intake manifold and valve cover. Almost 8 hours hard labor to replace it. 🙂
