From pin on the rear facing end of the V lever it should be 195mm from pin to gasket. There is also casing marks on the Roof transmissions to obtain a starting point for the V levers. They can be adjusted using a drill when the cables are disconnected from the small motor that drives both transmissions. That’s the route i had to take anyway. Well its great you are selling there and not just the entire pushrods.

Your point is well taken, regarding the roof transmissions being out of sync, but we have sold about 600 pairs of the ball sockets, and I’m only aware of one instance where the driver’s side transmission was out of sync with the passenger’s side. To summarize, when the switch is activated, the motor drives two cables going to each transmission gear reduction unit. There is a lever on the transmission output with a ball pin that connects to the ball socket. Both ball pins need to be in sync.

Glad that the video helped you out! Just so you know, if the ball socket came off by itself, it is probably stressed, so at some point it might come off again or break. Many folks keep an extra pair in the car.

You Rock!! My top was running slow so I thought (actually hoped) one of the ball sockets had broken. Having already experienced a $1200 repair bill to replace a convert top motor, I was hoping for the best (a simple broken part). With your great video, I checked them both and found that one of mine was simply disconnected. Twenty seconds later, the top was working perfectly. You ROCK!!

Great that you can buy these ! But the repair seems over simplified to me, there could be other factors that lead to the push rods disengaging and poping/breaking off, cables could be stretched, transmissions may be over rotated. The roof transmission may be out of sync and need to be realigned.
