I have been thinking to buy one preferable with low miles because I thought the engine will be in good condition and won’t need repairs but after I saw the corroded head studs, I’m starting to have second thoughts; low miles does not really warranty pristine engine doesn’t it?
Those hydraulic tensioners are not “oil fed,” they’re sealed units. They operate like conventional shock absorber on your auto.
They’re also reliable beyond belief. The one that was pulled looked just fine as long as it wasn’t leaking.
I stayed at Mouse Hilton last Rennsport Reunion. The Head stud check is the colonoscopy of the 911/930. Nitrile gloves rule, I wear two layers (tear-a-way style). Hey, some body answer the phone.
