Hey, quick question I had test drove a 986 today and on cold start, it made a squeal on ignition. Everything else checked out but that was not a good sign. Can I send you a video of the sound? (I recorded it during my test drive) Thanks!

Rami Bekhit says:

The dash lights indicate an IMMO block. Its not a bad key, surely, its just the wrong key for a different engine. You need to swap in a new transponder to then be programmed to the IMMO.

Great vid and great result … hell, I'd have been looking and testing electrical and scratching my head for a fortnight before finding that problem ….

Hey Brian, I greatly appreciate your videos. They are concise, to the points, full and of useful contents. No non-sense gibberish, no distracting music to drown out your narration, and no shouting. Great job! I hope many other Porsche enthusiasts will find your channel like I did.
