Inspired by the thousands of comments and suggestions left by YOU for our recent Porsche customer service rant episode, this week, we’re discussing Porsche GT car allocations.

It is clear that the current system is broken, and that the wrong people are getting Porsche’s most desirable cars. Many of you have pointed out how the cars are being secured by flippers and profiteers, and offering suggestions of how to fix the system.

So this episode is dedicated to TheCarGuys viewers, and this week we discuss two ways of how to fix the broken Porsche GT allocation system.

Thank you for watching

TheCarGuys.TV says:

Many of you have obviously watched this intresting video from Porsche Centre Galgary talking about how Porsche GT car flipping began, and what they do about it. And many of you have put their conclusions as your own comments in this video. Here's the link – definitely worth a watch – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=leTKx93DAEY

Sanjay Patel,MD says:

Why do they charge thousands of $$$$ over MSRP for these cars?

Beechgoose 1 says:

The Porsche website implies that you can just get one, direct, from Stuttgart. They seem to pride themselves in the fact they produce more cars of thus standard, than other makes…
If i were in the market, i'd contact them direct, and just see what would happen.

Olivier Perrault says:

The Porsche dealers here in the USA are charging 30,40 and even 100K over MSRP for a new GT3 Touring or the latest Cayman GTRS. What a shame and I am completely pissed about this behavihour. I will not pay 5K or 20K over MSRP that is simply bad business. Porsche needs to stop this practice.

Brian Ellory says:

The flaw in your presentation is that Porsche are happy with the existing unfair arrangements . I think they are more likely to hike the price , GT3 £127 k region should retail at £175k + That would be the fair commercial fix.

Me says:

Very naive take. Are they going to hire an entire detective staff? How will they verify any of this? What counts as flipping? The devil is always in the details.

jason fitzpatrick says:

Fantastic!!! Keep it up great channel

Terry Bernander says:

This is coming from “the guys” that bought a Patek Philippe 5711 having never buying a Patek before.
The answer is to build more GT cars if they want them driven.

Brett Scheepers says:

Buy one on the used market like I did with my GT3 RS.

911 Aircooled says:

Great job and summary! Certainy something needs to be done, preferably by Porsche Motorsport. I do like the 935 application process, better than the merit system; "I'll be your best friend if you allocate a 992 GT3 to me…..!!! Absolute BS.
I am not a rich arse (just spend all my spare cash on these, ha), but I do have my name and deposit paid for one. I doubt that I will get a slot as there are to many rich arse flippers out there with kickbacks to 'mates'. Difference is I want one to drive as my daily and take to the track. I already have the garage queen 911 (993T, which I do drive, just not a lot) so I need to enjoy a daily GT. I know the replies will be buy a 992 C2S or something, too boring for me sorry.
