Yup this originally was going to be a few rust repairs in the trunks, and when I dug in …. I think this pretty much has turned into a full blown body resto, so as soon as I finish the left front repair I’ll put it on the rotisserie. BTW I’ve got Apache fever as well. 🙂
I’ve actually got ok access from inside the front trunk, but I have sprayed some rust converter in there. I’ll see if I can get a rustcoating wand to spray in there.
Hey man, you gotta know that anyone who has had the least trouble with rust repair (like me) and is watching your vids; is entirely amazed at the colossal job you’ve taken on! I just think it’s heroic… and it’s going to look great when you are done!
I agree the rotisserie will make your tasks much easier to do. It will also allow you to really inspect the entire body carefully. Who knows whats lurking underneath? Don’t give up, you’ve come along way already.
Ron it seems that what starts as a simple repair grows exponentially, but you have a handle on it. Will the rotisserie save time on the rear welding repairs or turn the project into a full restoration? Good luck on your project sir. I was getting Apache fever. Thanks Ron
Thanks!
Thanks!

Thanks, kind of funny to deliberately not look at the big picture 🙂

Thanks John, definately it’ll make it easier to do the floor repairs and clean up the underbody
Thanks!

Too True, Greg, I think I’m going to cut my panels for shorter welds, even if it means making a bigger piece
Going to gas in the mig was a big improvement for spatter, going to tig is almost civilized 🙂
Thanks Rick!

long welds are very time consuming for sure. Enjoying.
