Also what is the valve called that you took the top hose off right side of motor ? Abwhat does that do
I replaced the coil packs and plugs in my matrix and it had oil down in the plug hole as well. Think I am going to change my gasket. 272,000 miles.
I just picked up my valve cover gasket for my Toyota Matrix:
1. There are two little black grommets that came with the kit, are those necessary? I don't know what they're for and I didn't see you use them in the video.
2. Will this video apply to any model of the Toyota Matrix? Specifically the XR model?
Great video! 2 things tho. I think using gasket maker isn't a bad idea…but…it was good to see what could happen if using too much.
2nd…is seal packing to be be used on the area between the timing chain housing and the valve housing necessary?
