My 06 Vibe started this today. Joy! *grr*
I did note that in my video notes. I did however not have the workspace to
get into where the actuator is ,so I brought it to the dealership to fix. I
think when they did mine they took the whole dashboard off to get to it.
Its back there a ways so your choice on how you go along replacing it.
I HAVE A 2004 PONTIAC VIBE IT DOES THOMPING SOUND. I DON’T KNOW HOW TO FIX
IT ANY TIPS SOLVE MY PROBLEM.
It’s the air actuator. You can take it out and rotate the gear and put it
back together.
Dealer can do it just fine but the part possibly affected is above in notes
(always could be something else I have had yet) If you have tiny hands
check the vibe sites for how to’s
This right now looks like what is called an air actuator WHICH controls the
flap. if anyone finds a clip to get to it which in my car is up on the left
side of the flap [box]
