the airbag light is on because the airbags had been removed. how ever yes what you said is correct iv heard of this as well
Be careful with the service air bag warning. that happened with mine, turns out the wiring is under the carpet and got wet. therefore the airbag was at a high risk of deploying without warning while driving. It has happened to other people in my area and caused severe injury. It seems to be a problem in a few different GM vehicles.
Get a scanner and hook it up to your G5s computer to see what codes are coming up, if you haven’t done it already. It’s probablyjust a few codes that need to be cleared up.
