hey man im a big guy around 6’3 or 6’4 would a fiero be a comfortable car
for me?…..anyone else whos my height or close to my height chime in….
HI thank you for sharing , I got 88 fiero SE model, I will do oil change
myself next time ,,,Thanks
I know this video is fairly old, but if you run full synthetic through it
youll have longer engine life. i know you typically would with any car, but
i was told conventional oil especially in the fieros, well it didnt do so
hot. just tryin to help you keep the ol’girl on the road. :3
can u make a video on how to change the transmission filter and fluid I
have a 86 stick is it still the same.
Just arrived at 1:00 a.m. this morning from California with a nice little
1987 Fiero on a transporter behind my Tundra. Was given to me by an old
Comrade of 44 years who can no longer drive it due to health problems. It
has just about 50,000 original miles on it, but due to his health problems,
it needs some tender loving restoration! He purchased it new, and planned
on driving it until he could drive no longer, but he cannot drive it
anymore. Looking forward to some good times with this little car which
will join my 3 Triumphs in the garage and on the road!
I have a 87 I have owned it since 97 I love fiero’s.there great car’s most
of the cars today all look the same lots of high tech junk.Lol
If you’re going to the 30th Anniversary Fiero Reunion, I’ll see you there!
I think you replied to the wrong comment. I can see where the 4 speed would
be quicker in most situations though.
I’ve never used oil stablilzer. Since it reached old age, I use
high-mileage oil in it (usually Valvoline or Pennzoil). And I take
One-a-Day Over-50 vitamins, but that’s another story 😉
After 29 years and 163,000 miles with it, I haven’t regretted a thing. Best
car I ever owned. 🙂
Can’t speak for automatics, but with the 4-speed, I’ve never had any
problem with acceleration, and I regularly have to zoom around left-lane
hogs on the interstate.
“Bespectacled, weird ass black man!” LOL!
Someone I have a passing acquaintance with and apparently had an issue with
some of my videos called me that on the street (the weird-ass part), and I
decided to own it 😉 If he’s watching, back at him, LOL
Have you tried Quaker State Defy? I’ve put it in my truck and recently
bought enough for the next three oil changes. It seems to be good oil, and
it has a high zinc content for bearing and camshaft protection. Nice little
Fiero by the way, and a good video.
Why don’t you just use a regular ratchet?
True. Unfortunately I cannot give you any good advice on vitamins.
have you ever used lucas oil stabilizer in the fiero it does great results
on the engine and helps them with high miles on them good video
Too funny.
Join your local Fiero club first, and get club members’ advice on what to
buy. They can point you toward well-maintained Fieros that haven’t been
thrashed to death. They can also help you find a mechanic who doesn’t run
into the bathroom at the sight of a Fiero. Northern Illinois Fiero
Enthusiasts (NIFE) is how I found Dave Armstrong, the guy who works on mine.
Thanks for the info and the compliment. I haven’t seen Quaker State Defy
yet, but I’m definitely going to use it for the next oil change. With all
these 300-mile road trips this summer, my little Iron Duke needs all the
protection it can get.
hey thanks a lot for these videos.. im thinking buying a fiero..but im
afraid that if something breaks on it i wont know how to fix it or find a
mechanic who would know…
I’ve had mine for about a month and a half now, and they basically turn you
into a mechanic. They’re simple to work on, and they’re absolute
sweethearts when it comes to that. I was terrified that no one would be
able to work on it until I really got under the boot. They’re fantastic
little cars. 🙂 Good luck with your purchase, mate. You won’t regret it
(Unless you get a lemon.)
For some reason, I always get the most torque with that little wrench.
They are great, tough little cars. It was great to see so many of them at
the Fiero convention in June:)
