Hi Jim,

I'm doing my outer on an 03 regal. I have a little gap between the tie rod and the aluminum piece the rod goes into. Do I hammer it in or is it ok with a gap?

Hey Jim, great videos, I have two questions for you:

#1: Is some kind of grease necessary to add inside the rubber cover on the outer tie-rods? I'm going to be preforming this job on my 2000 Chevy Malibu with Moog tie rods and I see grease already inside the hole where the grease fitting piece goes in, does the grease actually go all the way inside the rubber cover? I'm assuming so as the cover was very tight and couldn't get it to peel back to check inside it.

#2 On your strut assembly replacement video, you seemed to reuse the bolts attaching to the top of the struts. My new Moog Quick struts have one single bolt attached to the top, but it didn't come with the other two bolts. Is this normal? Should I replace the two original bolts that didn't come with my new struts or just reuse them off the original struts if they seem in good condition?

Thank you for your time!

Terry says:

You didn't say anything about putting grease in the zus fitting?.

fargobrad says:

Hi Jim great video.  If the inner rod was bad would the rod have moved and made a clicking noise when the wheel was shook for play and would another sign have been a floppy inner rod falling down?

Thank you
