Hi Scotty, as you know older jeep grand Cherokee and Commander have usual issues with their PCM due its location and all the heat they get. I heard relocating the PCM inside the car can solve a lot of issues. How true and correct can this be?
Thx

Floyd McCarty says:

Hello Scotty I have a 1992 Acura Vigor. I had a check engine light. I pulled the codes it is obd1 I believe. I followed the trouble shooting chart and it said finally that if there was a code other than what was there that the ECM was bad. I bought three from eBay. I hooked up one of them and the car ran and only had one trouble code. Rear knock sensor. I had it safety inspected to get new tags. Drove it about 20 miles and brought it home. The next day I buttoned up the new ECM happy I was finished and tried to start it. It cranks but will not start. I did not unhook the battery when I changed the first one. But it worked good for the afore mentioned time. I am now unable to retrieve codes from ECM AND HOPE EVERYTHING ISNT RUINED. LOVE THAT CAR. DO YOU HAVE ANY ADVICE. I tried to get a mobile mechanic to look at it but he wouldn’t. What can I expect or do I just give up disheartened! Help if you can.

Doesn't this job require reprogramming?

Hi video, Scotty. If the ECU is faulty, is it possible to replace it with an aftermarket ECU instead?

IS THERE RELEARNING FOR THAT TOYOTA COMPUTOR ?

Darkmand8 says:

So I have question about my c320 2001 benz. When I plug the obd to the car it was unable to communicate with the ecu, but once I unplug the wire connector to the radiator fan, it was able to read the system. Does that indicate the ecu is bad or not in my situation? The reason behind it is that I was having a fan problem running high all the time and I'm trying to diagnose and fix it! Please help Scotty?

ANDINA MM says:

No reprograming or anything? Great!
