Our leather-trimmed seat upholstery kits are all built to order and come pre-sewn and ready to install. They are designed to be installed by either a mechanically inclined DIYer or a local upholstery shop in your area. In cases where the seat foam has worn down from people sliding in and out, foam repair may be required. In this video, we go over how we tackle a simple cushion bolster foam repair and leather seat upholstery install for an ’09 Pontiac G8. Most of the steps that you see in this video are universal concepts that can be used for other vehicles as well.

Vehicle seat foam repair is generally a fairly advanced DIY project requiring a foam block to be inserted and shaped to fit the factory foam profile shape and 1/8th in. scrim foam to wrap the effect area to support the repair. We also recommend using a clothing or upholstery steamer to rejuvenate the foam before doing the repair.
