Great video. I thought you’re not supposed to put jack stands there though. Jack stands usually go on the rail that lies medial to where you put a scissor jack.
(I own an 06 Matrix) I think I might have some debris in my drum. The other day i heard what sounds like light metal dragging on pavement. I later discovered it was coming from my rear drivers side wheel. If i have to take the tire off, is there any one thing you can think of that tropically come loose ?
Great informative video! To bad my vibe is AWD though had to find a different place to jack it up but other than saved me money! all how to’s should be like this, thanks Jordan!
Jordan, thank you so much for the excellent video. I was able to change my own rear brakes and save myself money I did not have to spend with a mechanic. YOU ARE THE BEST! 🙂
I just enjoy watching and learning from your video. Thanks.
Thanks for posting. Very helpful and informative!
Jordan thanks to you for teaching me how to change my 2004 Toyota matrix rear drum break you not only saved me time, but also lots of money not having to take it to the Toyota dealer; once again thank buddy.

Thank you Jordan (I think I heard your name correctly, I apologize if I did not), hope it’s OK if I offer a note. IMHO I think a digital camera should be a MUST HAVE for we amature knuckle busters. If the folks take multiple still photos of these springs and such it really helps get things back together when we forget how it came apart. Also, DO NOT disassemble both sides at the same time. May need to refer to help get these parts back where they belong. Thanks again for these videos partner 🙂
Your awsomeeeee my wife even thanks you for saving us money on the rear break replacement
Dude thank for the video I was looking for the exact video being that I have a Toyota matrix and need to change the rear breaks thanks
Your welcome, and part 2 is up by now, if you haven’t already seen it. Thanks for commenting.
Thanks for the upload. I can’t wait for part 2. Getting those hold down springs back on is such a pain.
