Great video. Thank you

Thanks for the shots, I was wondering how much of a headache it was going to be to get the trans disengaged from the engine since I need to remove it. Apparently not as much of a headache as trying to get flexplate bolts off an auto.

Love all your videos, guys. Excellent help. I am fairly handy but a total novice on real mechanical car stuff. This, however, looks manageable. I have a 1965 Chevy Malibu that needs a new transmission or rebuild. True or false, if I could be SURE of the match to my car, dropping out the old transmission and putting in a new one would be as simple as this video makes it seem?

Nice thank you for video

Nice video. Needed a refresher since its been years since I've done this. A little tip if doing it on jack stands. If you have a second person, they can go inside the car, slip a rope around the tail of the transmission. Then when you slide it back, and dow onto your chest, half the weight is held by the person holding the rope.

Your videos always super helpful

Thanks for the response, I will follow your advice.

You would probably want to remove everything in the video to make it easier to remove the transmission.

Frankie B says:

If I am just doing a clutch replacement, do I have to remove the entire shifter assembly from the trans, or can I just remove the trans with the linkages and shifter still attached?

..Great vids by the way, you have been a huge help to me!
