my Pontiac g6 is making a chirping noise turning right. the sound seems to be coming from the font passenger wheel. I'm thinking is the c.v.joint. if so, since it's on the right, I would fix the LEFT axle
I have a 2005 g6 GT and when turning to the right at any speed it makes a grinding almost airplane noise and when I lifted the car it seemed as the CV had a wobble to it. is that the culprit or could it also be a ball joint ?
Sorry James, no. I can help you as much as possible with commenting back and forth but I make a living fixing cars and am limited with how much free advice I can offer. I hope you understand.
the play in the transmission might be something to investigate. it's been so long since I saw this car that i can't remember how much play is appropriate.
Well the new CV axel I just put on I pulled it back off the stub shaft stayed in and had some wobble play in the trans but the end on the other side of the stub shaft just dropped as soon I lowered the hub what else should I look for and thanks for ur help
I had to replace my cv axel changed it out started driving and it took a crap on me made the same noise it did when it came out the first time what could of caused it to happen again

yes, it tore up the fender pretty badly

possibly bad out of the box? otherwise maybe the CV axle wasn't the issue. Just a thought without seeing it.
