Lot easier then dash removal, the die grinder is just best method. Drilling was my thought also, but basically get nice stone tip for a die grinder and get an angle grinder for the job. Also 5.5mm socket for bolts under the 1st cover, also 5 bolts in the second cover 1 is hidden by gas pedal up in corner. Also 5 spots to grind out on 2nd cover. I did not damage anything in my battle, part 2 is coming, thanks for watching, please like the vid and sub
Hey man thanks just got mine out no dashboard removal didnt even pull the glovebox or the seats. Everyone else had dashboards out this the only vid i could find without doing that. Even in the haynes manual says nothing bout pullin the dash or the steering wheel.. big help on gettin the heat stakes out(plastic rivets)
Thank you so much
I watched really close and going to try it. I have a 07 , will let you know how it comes out. It did appear you had a left hand drill bit?
I've got a 99 Grand am GT. Would this method still apply?
I did not use none of that stuff I just ripped the plastic part off and took the heater cord out I didn't have to do half of the stuff you did it's different ways of doing it I'm doing the 07 Grand Prix and I just tore it all out and I'm putting a new one up in there and my heat back working everything is good and I just cover the hose up
how did u remove plastic cover once it was lose
