2004 Pontiac Grand Prix heater core replacement. Part 1

Lot easier then dash removal, the die grinder is just best method. Drilling was my thought also, but basically get nice stone tip for a die grinder and get an angle grinder for the job. Also 5.5mm socket for bolts under the 1st cover, also 5 bolts in the second cover 1 is hidden by gas pedal up in corner. Also 5 spots to grind out on 2nd cover. Hey man thanks just got mine out no dashboard removal didnt even pull the glovebox or the seats. Everyone else had dashboards out this the only vid i could find without doing that. Even in the haynes manual says nothing bout pullin the dash or the steering wheel.. big help on gettin the heat stakes out(plastic rivets)

I did not use none of that stuff I just ripped the plastic part off and took the heater cord out I didn't have to do half of the stuff you did it's different ways of doing it I'm doing the 07 Grand Prix and I just tore it all out and I'm putting a new one up in there and my heat back working everything is good and I just cover the hose up

You were so corect just the console glove box radio ant comfort controls but on my 2006 g6 no rivots had screws,thanks so much,i would have done like the shop manual then jujst blown it up!!

Same issue with my 2004 Grand Prix just replaced whole new Heater Core for $400. My heat still didnt work guy said Need a Blower Motor and Resistor now .. Now when I acclerate or press break I hear loud noises. im in Pittsburgh Pa Too as well if you can help me that would be great please
