In this video we are going to replace the center channel, or dash speaker, in my 2008 Grand Prix. This applies to any 04+ Grand Prix equipped with the Monsoon System.
What you will need:
Any 3.5 inch speaker,
Large flat bladed screw driver
Short Philips head screw driver or 7mm Socket and Ratchet
Soldering iron and solder
The entire process should take around 15 minutes

Flat plate screw driver… LOL
There are no Pontiac dealers there out if business
Id believe that the center speaker goes out commonly, because it went out in my grand prix
The door speakers are six and a half

got it quoted from a dealer to install a new speaker, it was 150 bucks with install and stock speaker, took me five minutes to pull out, thanks for the help
do you know the sizes of the speaker in the doors?
Can't get "extreme" performance from a 3.5 inch speaker. You made a good choice. I, however, would rewire the whole car with home audio 14 gauge and delete the center, but that's only because I'm an audiophile and been winning audio comps for a long time. Great vid for those that want to do an upgrade. Also, if i could add something, you want to pay attention to the Ohmage of the speaker and try to get it by one UP, not down ie if it's 6 ohms get a 8 not a 4.
Great vid!
I recognize that brand.
