Let’s do some more work on my daily driver, a Peugeot 206 Sport 2005. I will show you how I replace a starter motor on a Peugeot 206. Unfortunately the quality is not as good as in my Japanese cars that I’ve had previously and currently. The starter motor is going out, it can’t handle hot starts.
Initially I thought it had to do with battery connections or the charge level of the battery. So from parking the car I had to wait about one hour before I could start it again. Of course it was dependent on driving style and climate.
Since we are heading towards summer the situation will not improve so I decided to bite the bullet and replace the starter motor.
The starter I bought was a cheap one but as you see it looks ok and the only modification I needed to do was to make a small cable in order to skip cutting anything.
I did not look through any guides or anything before doing this which I guess you can understand while watching this episode.
