Why can't manufacturers make a removable cartridge type DPF. Once a DPF can't be regenerated anymore just pull out the cartridge and fit a new one.

I do not see the point in this filter, because all the dirt that accumulated in it and did not enter the atmosphere still got into the water and went into the ground, polluting the planet.
Does anybody seriously check if water tubes and tanks can firstly filter those diesel exhausts before sending them to the DPF ?!!
