How To FIX Turbo Boost Control Position Sensor | Limp Mode (P2562) | Peugeot 407 2.0 HDi
Tools neded: size 10 socket
Tip: once removed there are two pipes: one says Vac and the other Out, blow in the vac side to just make sure there is no blockages.
IMPORTANT: Also check the pipes that run from it. They lead to a T pipes with 3 pipes contacted. Check the are pushed on tight. Sometimes the 3 way connect can be slipt which will also cause this fault.
Any questions, just ask
Hi mate, dunno if you could tell me where that brown colour hose at the front of your video goes to? It’s just connected at the top in the 407 I’ve just bought and loose at the other end
Hi there my turbo boost does a hissing then a ppssat lol
When I have engine running then switch of can this be fault with bad acceleration?
Not coming up with any fault codes or lights coming on,
Ps can't think of any better way of putting it, thanks in advance
Thanks. Can this also give poor acceleration/smoke and the following codes?: P0101, P0113, p0299 and P0406?
At first always check the vacuum hoses around the solenoid. By me it was the problem.
My name joe Hya my car been in eco mode every off except it crank,no ignition switch light on dashboard i forget central locked alarm work,i have removed all firebox and fuse and earth wire check all relay it a citroen xsara1.4 petrol years 2004 i only run off petrol all this happens after tow by AA break down to my home less than 1miles can anybody Help any advice will God blessings
Hi, again to write bacause i was unclear last message.
My car is Peugeot 407 2.0 HDI RHR 2004
Codes are:
P2565 TBCPS Circuit Voltage Hight when i start car (not trigger only on ignition, when i start car yes)
P2563 TBCPS Range/Perfomance (this appear when i loose boost)
When i loose boost my max PSI is 4.2
When i have boost my max PSI is 15.9
I think that i loose boost only when i drive about 2000 rpm's
Tried to drive without MAF, EGR, TBCPS,
When i disconnect TBCPS i have same codes, and car drives same, i have boost and when i loose it i restart car and again i have it
What i did:
I changed all vacuum lines
I tried to clear turbo solenoid valve, it looks fine
Wastegate moves under vacuum 1cm up and down, i will provide you video in comment
I checked TCPS wires, looks fine
Hi, do you know maybe is this reason why my turbo works only 2-3 times after i start car, after 2-3 times turbo does not work, when i turn off and start again car it again work only 2-3 times… Is it in LIMP mode? Is it same as to you?
I also have Peugeot 407 2.0 HDI 136hp
Hi there top video. Only problem is I can’t find this part on my car. Please help me identify it. Sorry for sounding thick
You have cuts on your hand? Things people can do for boost….
as someone below has pointed out there are 2x solenoids for the two doser flaps ( if your eninge has a y-shaped air intake body with intercooler intake hose, and a second intercooler bypass intake for some reason ). the turbo actuator solenoid is located usually on the RHS of the engine block below the vac pump near air filter box. BUT the turbo control solenoid and solenoid for the right hand doser flap seem to share the same vac line from the pump, so im wondering if EITHER solenoid is buggered then it will affect both boost control and doser flap operation, due to loss of vaccumm on this line. here is the diagram by "Mr Fix" ! https://fordowner.b-cdn.net/uploads/monthly_2019_02/received_2444915459060141.jpeg.6999404607789afde443bf5e369f0c12.jpeg
Going to give that a check over next few days, hopefully its all my issues is
My wife's 407 did this today, found your vid and followed advice, sorted.
Cheers
You sir are a genius I had the same problem I did as you instructed it took ten minutes and hey presto its cured that tip as saved me a few quid many thanks
Hi top video my car lost power and cleaned the filter and power is back perfect
Hi, you do know that this is not the turbo Solenoid its behind the engine top left, remove the engine cover and place your hand behind the engine and you will feel the Solenoid, the one your fixing is for the front doser flap in the intake and under that solenoid is another one that works another doser flap without any pipes going into them if you replace them you should have a fully working car with plenty of boost, if you leave them open your brakes wont be getting much pressure from the vacuum pump that the Solenoid needs to work 100%.
P2562 is due to a problem of calculator not receiving good information from Turbo boost sensor which is screwed on Turbo actuator.. basically it gives the information , where the wastegate is situated in order to deliver more air opening vgt… The sensor can be ok but if they are a leak in the small of the vacuum circuit it will not receive thé correct information so it will lead to a lack of power from Turbo…
i had the exact issue on my 307 2.0 HDi, came up with open circuit fault code too because one of the 2 wires going to the plug that connects to the solenoid was split, so i soldered it back up and it came out of limp mode but the solenoid was completely clogged up anyway it seemed, so i put a new one on and i’ve never been so shocked in my life, seemingly scary wheelspin in 1st and 2nd and a chirp in 3rd, but this is with a stage 1 remap. amazing how a £29 part can make such a difference, does 0-60 in around 8.5 seconds now
In did it does what you say I have all boost after I come across this video thanks …Bout I still have antipolution faulty the thing I 9nly have the motor for like a weak
Hello. Maybe you know something about codes p2526 and p2523 ? Already checked this soleinod, seems to work. I've got no boost reading only vacuum trough obd2 reader
